Default Nikon Monarch binos??

I think I've just about decided to get the Nikon Monarch ATB and I don't know which to get the 10x42 or the 12x42? How big of a difference is there in the two? I hunt just about everything...

The 10x is going to be brighter, easier to hold steadier, has a larger exit pupil and should have a wider field of view. There are some closeout deals on them right now as the new version of the Monarch with the dielectric mirror coating has been introduced. I have seen them typically in the $200 range now with one place at less than that.
