Default what to do

Im lookn for a scope to put on my AR for shooting hogs 50 yards or less.I have been looking at the eotech 412,511or mabye the millet Millett 1-4x24 DMS Tactical 30mm Riflescope.the only thing i dont like about the millet is im not sure how much light it will gather.lookn forward to everybodys thoughts! thanks for the help.

Personally I can't imagine why you need a scope for 50 yds and under.

With the minimal recoil of an AR, and the close range, I would think that any cheapo 1X red dot type optic would work for head shots. I'd only spend the kind of money you're suggesting for an optic, on a serious long range setup, or a combat gun that would be used regularly, but that's me.

Scopes don't gather light... they transmit it. If the man wants to scope it that's his choice. I second the red dot 1X types.

I have two of those Millet 1-4X24 DMS scopes, both on AR's-
Love them, good... no... great light transmission!
Other than the magnification ring being hard to rotate on one of theme... I have had no problems.
I would recommend them. Great optic... for the money!
