I have a Ruger Redhawk 44 magnumwith factory scope mounts on the barrel which are 2.5 inches apart from center, with the rings in place I have only 1.75 inches of scope play. My question is,Is there a Red and Green dot scope out there that will fit within the 1.75 inches of the two scope rings?The scope tube can be 1" or 30mm. Thank You
There are a ton of Illuminated pistol scopes out there, don't know about the red green dot or not but most pistol scopes should work on a stock ring set up you have.
I have a Bushnell Trophy Red Green dot on it now..... but the way I have it on now isI have a weigand mount to accept weaver bases with the rings farther apart then 1.75 inches to accept the scope....I want to get rid of all the block and tackle and just use the factory rings on the gun with a Red Green dot scope.......
Yes you are right.... I did have a Burris Scope on it before..... I got rid off the cross hairs and now I like the dot scopes.... especially in low light conditions the green dot is great.....
