Default 1X or Red dot?

Booked a hunt in Wisconsin where they limit scopes on muzzleloader to zero magnifaction. Thinking maybe a Red Dot any recommendations?

Default RE: 1X or Red dot?

On the advice of a friend I tried an inexpensive Bushnell Red Dot on my 12g.It works great but not much in low light. Here in NY hunting hours are sunrise-sunset so it's not a problem for me.YMMV.
