Default RED DOT SCOPE

Need some input on a Red Dot scope. I am wanting to put a red dot on my 357 mag. revolver for hunting season. Should I go this way or go with a normal scope.

Default RE: RED DOT SCOPE

I just looked at one and I can't figure out how to put it on my rifle a blr81 with two piece bases. I've had a Tasco pro point on my cross bow for years and it works great. Sighted it in once and moa hasent moved. I see a lot of guys at the range shoot them on handguns and it is amazing what they can do with them
