Default Just got the word on Simmons scopes...

I was curious about the Simmons line of scopes since Meade bought them out, so I did a little checking. I just got off the phone and was told that Bushnell has bought Simmons from Meade, and they are manufacturing them in the same factory as Bushnell. So theSimmons should see an improvement in quality and reliability as well as service.

This may not make a difference to some folks, but it may be of interest to others.

The quality should improve, but it will take a long time for all the Meade line Simmons scopes to disappear from the shelves. I don't understand why Bushnell would want the Simmons name associated with their lineof scopes. They already have a varied selection of scopes in the Bushnell name.

Thanks for the info dude.
I was curius myself as to who now owned Simmons.
I just didn't have time to look into it.
Wow.
Leupold and Redfield
Bushnell and Simmons
ATK and Weaver
I'm looking forward to the results of this one.

Must be Bushnell had extra cash lying around from not paying Dave Watson any more! LOL. Seriously, it's probably going to be an improvement for sure. Thanks for the info.
