Default Barska Huntmaster Binoculars?

I'm looking for a cheap throw around pair of Binoculars and wondered if any of you have used the Barska Huntmaster Binoculars? I am looking at the 8x42. These run a little over $100. I understand that they don't compare to Nikon, Leupoldor some of the other higher end Binoculars. I'm just looking for a cheap pair that I don't have to worry about. Is Barska quality any good? I'm interested to hear if any of you have used or looked at this particular model. I've seen some decent reviews on the Huntmasters, not so good on the Barska Atlantics. Do you know of any other decent 8x42's for around $100?

Thanks

For under $100 you can get Nikon Action's which I feel are much better glass. I'm sure that Bushnell and Simmons also produce fair quality bino's for less. Shop around, you can definitely do better.

I would check out some of the Bushnells first, I have a pair of Barska binos that I picked up for cheap; They are JUNK! My $25 Bushnells are better. Check out flea bay for some decent deals. Bushnell Legends or h2os are in this price range and are waterproff.

I concur that the cheaper Bushnell's are better than ANY Barska.

Give a look to Vortex, as well. They've been getting rave reviews for value, & they've got a lifetime warranty.

Perhaps these: http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/swarovski.pl?page=vortexdiamondback8x42

or these: http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/swarovski.pl?page=vortexvulture8x50

Any time I've seen someone talking about their purchase of a Barska product, 'twas either "adequate", or less flattering.

I must state my utter hatred for the crap optics made under the Barska name.
It should be illegal to sellsuch garbage as anything other than a toy.
I made the mistake of flushing $29 down the toilet at sportsmansguide junk optics section with the purchase of a pair of Barska binocs.
Now , I knew that I wasn't buying Zeiss or Leupold.
I just figured it couldnt be any worse than Tasco or low buck simmons. Boy was I wrong .
I was trying to look at some does across afield not more than 100yds and when i turned the power up it just made it worse. Could see better with the naked eye!

No amount of adjustment or focus helped .... long story short I made a target out of it at about 100yds and put a round thru that piece of junk and should've put it in box and sent back to god damn China where so much of the mass producedcheap junk is made!
End all trade relations with them bastards America does not need anything from China !

There , my opinion of BARSKA .....
HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS FOR GOOD!
