Default Leupold Gold Ring Compact Spotting Scope

Does anyone have any first hand experience with this spotting scope? Would love to hear a review on them. Thanks.

checked it out when I was in the market for a spotter.....

went with a Cabelas Big Sky HD spotter 20-60x66mm , pretty awesome scope I must say.

convenience is nice with a small scope, but I think you lose too much optically.....somethign to consider. None of the leupold spotters impressed me either. Was impressed with the cabelas HD......great optically esp for the price...

The top benchrest shooter in the world (Tony Boyer) uses a Leupold Gold Ring spotting scope. When walking down the line at a international benchrest competition I have looked through just about every model of spotting scope available an I can safely say that the Leupold Gold Ring is top notch.

Is Tony sponsored by them?

Also Leupold makes 2 models....1 regular 1 HD.....so I think ones like $7-800 the other is $1200, I'm assuming he has the HD.....

I didn't think you were talking about the HD either....not sure they had that model when I looked through them, either way not a big fan of their spotters, or even binos, and now im waning on my thoughts of their scopes.
