Default Need some rangefinder suggestions! Need help!

I personally own a Leica LRF 900, and I am a huge fan of Leica...., but my buddy is looking for a rangefinder and he does not have a lot of money to spend on one. So can anyone please throw some suggestions out......, he's looking to spend around $300. What brand andmodel should he be looking at???

Thanks for you help!

I have the Leupold RX-II and love it. It is dead on and I have never had a single problem with it. It is priced right at $300 but if he looks around you can find it cheaper.

The Nikon 550 is a good bet. I have the 800 an it is great.

I have the Nikon 1200. It works really well. You can find a good Nikon for your budget.
