Default browning vs. buckmaster

Looking at a browning(bushnell elite 3200) and a nikon buckmaster. Both are 3x9x40,I can get the browning for $129 and the nikon for $149.Anyone have an opinion on which is better.I figure they are about the same in quality, but I would like to hear everyones thoughts.

Thanks

Nikon....

The Browning is made by bushnell, but it is made to browning specs, which are not up to the typical 3200 bushnell standards.

Nikon .... you get a nikon, and they stand behind their products.

I have both, NIkon, and the Bushnell version of the 3200. The Nikon is considerably better IMO.

I have admit that I can actually answer this question because I have both the Browning and the Buckmaster. In my opinion, the Nikon has better, more clear glass. I putboth side by side to see which was brighter in low light, but I honestly couldn't see a difference from dusk to total darkness. I'm sure both will hold up just fine. If I buy any more, I'll probably go with another Nikon. For the minimal price difference, I think it's a better scope.

haha, that's exactly what I was gonna do. Gonna get the 4x40 monarch as a b-day gift for my dad, would be a major upgrade from what he has on his 30-06 BAR and the buckmaster for my TC Omega. or I might just get two of the 4x40's.
