Default red dot?

I bought my 1st ar-15 today, and was wondering if anyone had any expirence with some of the lower priced red dots (aimpoint, bsa, truglo, etc). Thanks

save your money. The Army has the Aimpoints, and although they are accurate when used, they are not well made. It does not take much to jack them up.
If you can afford it get an ACOG. If not, then save up and buy one. You will be MUCH happier.

good luck

I put a BSA on my AR. Hands-down, the very worst $20 I've ever spent. Blurry, & the non-adjustable dot is bigger than a 6" target @ 100 yards. Absolutely unusable. I stuck on a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40, and now I'm quite happy.

I ended up getting a tru-glo. It's alright. I may try it on one of my 835's or a 10/22 as well.
