I have gone the cheap route on binos for most of my hunting life, but the cheapest I would go now is the Zeiss Conquest line. I currently have a set of Conquest 12x45 binos and could not be happier.

i just bought a few pairs of cheaper bino's before hunting season,i'm talking compacts. i bought weaver classic series compact binoculars from natchez shooters supply. they have them on clearance . there regular price was listed as 199.99,sale was 49.95. a month ago they still had over 100 sets. the cheapest price i could find on the web was 149.00 ,so these are a great buy. they are 10x28 matte black rubber armored, they are very clear and work great while on a stand. my problem with spending a load of money on compact is there to easy to lose.
