Default Is Nikon prostaff an older model Buckmaster?

I happened to notice that Nikon came out with thier Prostaff line about the same time that they introduced the new model of Buckmaster. I've also noticed that the Prostaff uses the same tube assembly as the old buckmaster and old monarch. Could it be that they just rebranded the old buckmaster as the new prostaff? This isn't a complaint. I have an older buckmaster and there's nothing wrong with it. I was simply wondering...
