Default BSA Contender Target Riflescope

was wondering if anyone had anyone had first hand expierence with the BSA Contender Target Riflescope 4-16X50 . cabelas has it for $99. I have a BSA sweet .17 and love it but didnt know how the contender held up. it will be going on a remington 710 .243. any input will help thanks

I have a bsa contender 4x-16x on a bull barreled 10-22 and it does a dandy job. For a centerfire scope I would choose a leupold/burris/weaver/nikon.
