They have a higher quality then Leupold or Bushnell. There pretty much behind Swaroski and Leica. Really good investment there products are cheap for same or little bit lower quality then Leica or Swaroski.

Usually the top three are Zeiss, Schmitt & Bender and Swarovski and it is usually a personal opinion as to which is the absolute top of the line. I have a Zeiss Diavari 3x12x56 that I absolutely love. The Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9x40is very close to the quality of the Conquest 3x9x40and it is about $125 less in price.

Ditto to what jack just said.I do have a leupold on my shotgun. Its a nice scope but doesnt even compare to my Zeiss on my rifle.Everyone has a certain preference and im sure youll get different opinions from different people.

I have Zeiss binos, 10x40 and recently my wife (gotta love her) bought me a Zeiss spotting scope, 15x45x65. I really like both of them and would like to have a Conquest scope.

I currently own a Swarovski, several Leupolds, and several Zeiss'. My current favorite two scopes are Zeiss Conquests 3-9 and 4.5-14, but the quality between the three brands is very close.

just bought a 3x9 conquest and its great, love the CONSTANT eye releif at all powers. I accually came in to buy a 3X9 leupy VX II for my muzzleloader. 2seconds after lookin thru the Zeiss, i bought it. even after looking thru the VX III clarity was NO CONTEST.

Ditto! The "Big Three" are the best. They are the only ones to my knowledge that can claim 95% light transmission. Opically, they are all three pretty equivalent. They differ a little in other features such as reticle, weight, zoom range, etc. It's all a matter of preference. I have the Zeiss Diavari V 3-12x56 as well. It is awesome!
As far as lower end scopes, the Zeiss Conquests are excellent as well as the Nikon Monarch Golds! I have friends that have these scopes. They cost around the same amount as a Leupold Vari-X III, but are way better optically. I will never buy a Leupold again.
