Default Is this a bad scope???

Went to the range to day because i have had problems with hitting what im aiming at. Today, at 100yrds didnt hit paper at all. After 6 shots of this went to the 25 yrd range to get it on paper and was 10 inchs to the left an 8 in high. i made the adjustments on my scope ahot 3 more rounds and all three hit exactly the same spot as the first three 10 left and 8 high[:@]. point in case my scope is screwed. im buying a cheap one untill i can send it back to bushnell to get it fixed. Im buying a ncstar 3-9X40 for $40 from ebay i looked up this scope and it was rated 5for5 stars and is to some the best for the price. For $40 i figured id try it

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Edited due to inappropriate topic title that the word filter had to catch.....

I shot today myself with my Marlin 336SS 30-30 scoped with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9 and Blaser R-93 308 scoped with Swarovski 3-9. At 100 yards, my POI was exactly where I aimed with (2) 3 shot groups from each gun that could disappear behind a dime.

Case in point, you get what you pay for when you buy $40 hunting optics

deerhunter518-do you have a link to that scope? My cousin is looking for something cheap but fairly decent to put on his sportarized 8mm Mauser.

The broken scope is a bushnell banner 3-9X50 that i paid $140 for the one i just bought is $40. My point is that before my banner i had a simmons 3-9X40 8 point scope that I bought for $50 and was one of the best i have bought

I have a cheap $30 simmons i use on my muzzleloader for fun every once in a great while. Even though its cheap, its clear and a darn good scope.

That sucks big time for you though. I go hunting the sept 12th and im a mad rush getting stuff together.

LOL... I guess some need to repeat the same stepsto finally learn something.

All the best on the new scope and return of the banner from bushnell. My only experience with the CSwas good butslow rate of return.

Been there, done that on the cheap hunting optics, and I won't go back. I am sure there are some decent inexpensive scopes out there, but I get sick of hearing these guys that won't spend over $100 on a scope cry about them when they crap out.
