Default spoting scopes

I have recently been looking at spoting scopes in the $400-500 range. I am really not satistfied at the quality of these scopes. Is itnot possible to get a scope that has eye relief at 60x in this price range? Do i have to spent 1000 or more to get what I am looking for? any recomendations?

If you find one let me know, I'm looking for the same thing. My buddies all own Swarovski, and Zeiss. I sure as hell can't afford those, and I'm too afraid to borrow it and even scuff it because they cost so much. let me know what you find out. Good luck

Have you looked at the Vortex Skyline spotting scope? Take a look and see if it meets the specs you are wanting.

I am not sure what size scope you are looking for but I would look into the Pentax PF65 or 80ED. Everything that I have read about them is awesome and unlike most spotting scopes you can use austronomical eyepieces whereas most other brands are brand specific. If you search around you can get the PF65 ED on the net brand new for around $599. An incredible price for what you are getting. i have read reviews that this was the landmark scope until the new Swaro's came out... Hope this helps
