Anybody get to see the VX7 yet?

Looks like it might be a fine piece of glass. But they are going to have to make it a one piece tube before I put my loyalties back in them. Wish I could test it under thier specifications. Only gear I have to test with is 800nm lasers and really don't have the reciever to test properly. And not sure of the sprectrual range at twlight. I am surprised there is not an independent lab to verify these numbers people throw out.

I'm sure it's pretty decent but, at that price point, I'll look at Swaros or Zeiss. I'm not bashing L at all... I like Leuppy's alot. They just seem a little overpriced when comparing apples to apples. I "stumbled" upon a real good lesser known scope the other day at an upscale LGS. It was a Meopta. Built like a tank with great glass. It's about 20% cheaper than Swaros. I saw one on a big double rifle (.416 Rigby or such). I think (not 100%) the mgr. said they make glass for Swaros?????

Most if not 90% of the folks that post on this particular forum fall prey to marketing and if its more expensive it has to be good. Hunters as a whole generally fall into name brands like women at a mall. We buy in the industrial goverment market from everybody, and let me tell ya, ziess and all is a name. Marketing dream.
