Default SWFA Update

Figured I'd give an update for anyone who might have seen my post about SWFA a couple weeks ago. I had never bought anything from them, and they have a great sale on closeout Nikons. Anyway, after being told a couple times over about three weeks that they still didn't have an ETA for the Monarch 3-9x40 I ordered, I got impatient andI asked to upgrade my order to a 4-12x40. I hoped they had that model in stock, and figured it would serve me better on an antelope rife anyway. The price was about $70 more, just about $300 with shipping. Within hours, the SWFAfolks made it happen and the scope is on its way. So I'm a happy customer.

Glad to hear it. As I mentioned in your other post, I have not purchased anything from them yet but I have had very positive experiences with some of their folks.

That's good to know. I plan on purchasing my NIKON from them in the very near future.

I purchased some Burris rings from them and they never showed. I called the company and was told they were sent and to be patient. I called about a week later, and was told the same thing. I asked them for a confirmation number and they "could not see it". The rings never showed and I had to contact my card company.
This may be an isolated incident as their prices on scopes are VERY competitive.

That's funny..cause I bought my monarch(3x9x40) from them in jan. I think the 12 or 13 and had it in my hands in just a few days. maybe 3 or 4. I paid 218.00 and for that scope that is a great price. midway wanted 300.00+. This is the 3rd. scope I got from them and never had a problem. Great company and fast shipping..

I ended up topping a few backup deer rifles, a Marlin 336 and a Remington 700, with fixed 4x Monarch UCC scopes from SWFA.

I am VERY happy with the scope quality and the transaction.

They do have good prices on the closeout Nikons, but from what I have seen, on the new Nikons coming out, www.theopticzone.com has a lot better prices. like $100.00+ better for the same scopes. So if you are interested in the new line of Nikons, as I am, check them out before you buy.

5 x 20 x 44 nikoplex 529.00 at SWFA

5 x 20 x 44 nikoplex 415.00 at opticzone

And there are compariable differences on other magnifications of the same new line of Monarchs.

I won't buy from swfa again. I had the 5.5-16 nikon on order for over a month. Kept saying they should come in anytime. I called back end of feb, and they said still no order, call back March 15th. I said forget it, and ordered from natchez and only paid 30 dollars more, had it in three days.

SWFA sucks in my opinion.
