While the bushnells have some merits, they don't align that well with the 300 mag. Bushnell elites have realitivly short eye relief.

If I was looking for a scope in the price range of the 3200 I would choose one of the Burris FFII a 3x9x40 is well under $200

Even better, take a look at the Nikon Monarchs. Nikon is in the process of upgrading the Monarch lineup and many of the original Monarchs are on great closeouts. In my opinion the Monarch has very impressive optical qualities roughly equal to the Leupie vxIII's at a fraction of the cost.

the 3x9x40s are around $220 and the 4x12x40 is around $285

Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40. That's what I've got on my Sako 75 .300 Win mag. Unless you plan on doing a lot of long range target shooting, an AO is not needed. BTDT.

BTW, I've got a Bushnell 3200 and the optics aren't in the same league as the Zeiss.

You really get a lot of scope for your money with the Nikon Monarch Gold.

Being a Leupold fan, I would suggest their VXII 3-9x40. For $500 bucks, you could buy an evenbetter Leupold than that. I had one on my old .300 win mag. for 6 years, and it never change point of impact unless I made adjustments. (I beat the tar out of it - even has a nice dent in the front bell that never changed it either) Good guarantee too. I've sent one in that I thought was bad, but it turned out to be the rifle (ended up scraping about a penny worth of copper out of that one).

The Zeiss Conquest 3-9 x 40mm with 4" of constant eye relief should work very well for that 300 Mag...

Zeiss Conquest as mentioned 4" constant ER with the 40mm. If you think you need more mag and/or larger objective the others have 3.5" constant ER.
