Default conetrol mounts

who has used them and how are they different than others?

I haven't used any but I have always heard that they are some of the best .I also hear that they are a real son of a gun to put on.

I have a set on one of my rifles. They are unique in style as they don"™t have any mounting screws on the rings them selves and have a top cap that fits in place to holds both halves. The machining is exceptional for a very tight fit. The system is a little tricky to install so I would suggest to buy some if you have intentions of changing your scope to often. I've got a set on one of my Sakos and will soon buy a set for my other Sako. I really like 'em. They are indeed somewhat harder to mount a scope in, but if you don't plan on changing scopes very often, then there's no need to let that concern you.

Here's a closer up look. Notice the only screw you see is the one on the side of the base. There are no screws anywhere on the rings themselves. I think they're very nice looking.
