Default .44 Mag Red Dot

I am looking to put a red dot scope on my .44 mag for deer hunting. I was wondering if a red dot scope can handle the .44 recoil or not. Do any of you have a recommendations for a good red dot for my gun? I have a S&W 629 Classic ported.

Thanks Lefty

Any decent red dot can handle 44 mag recoil. Ultra dot is good, I've used millet and bushnellwith good luck.

Do any of you guys know about point of aim with a "tube" reddot? There is a question about the need to center the dot in the middle of the tube or if the bullet goes where the dot is, even if the dot is in a corner of the tube. I was told that only Aimpoint and Eotech offer models that hitPOA no matter where the dot ison the display. Check out the Eotech 510 AA post if you can share any insight.

Thanks,
J
