Why would you want to waste the time and money on a product that is not made for a high powered rifle? You might get1 or2 or 20 or 30 shots off and the scope hit the mark, but you already know there is a good chance the scope will fail sooner or later.

I wouldn't buy them, We got 2 on our .17s and there both junk, not very good quality. I wouldn't buy another BSA or any cheap scope again.... I've started buy more high dollar stuff and i wo'n't ever go back to cheap stuff....

I have three BSA's and have had no trouble w/ any of them. One of which is the Sweet 17. I get one hole groups at 100 yds w/ it on a T/C Carbine. I also have the 6-24x mil dot on a .223 bbl for same gun, which shoots one holers at 100 w/ 46 gr Winchester jhp's [3600 fps] from Mal-Wart $13 for 40 rounds. The last is a 3-12x, also AO on a Brno .22 that is unbelieveably accurate. They have a life time guarantee and while there are many higher quality scopes available, none give better resultsthan I've gotten outta these cheapies. The best price I've found on them is at Midwest USA. Good shooting to all!!

the scope was given to me as a gift by someone who doesn't know about scopes. i have had bsa scopes before and loved them. is it going to hold up to a high powered caliber(say 30-06 or 300wsm)?

how bout on like a .222? I personally wouldn't put any .22 or .17 on a deer rifle. They will not hold up to the recoil.

I think if you check, you'll find that they are all pretty well put together the same. The Sweet 17 just has a turret graduated for that caliber. I had my 6x -24x on a .257 Roberts for awhile and no problems. I also watched a friend battle a Nikon on a muzzle loader until he figured out it was broke. I will be the first to agree that your odds of not having problems go up w/ quality in the long run. Actually, the worst thing you can do to a quality scope for a heavy recoiling rifle is put it on a spring type air rifle.

I actually tried that once with an older bushnell scope and a crossman air rifle... got a little over 100 shot before the scope was ruined.
