Default A rather complex question...

How come when I look through my Steiner binos without my glasses on, the picture is totally crystal clear.
But when I look through my Leupold Mark 4 without my glasses it's blurry like everything else when my glasses are off. Picture is great with glasses on.
Is there anyway I can shoot through my scope with my glasses off and have 20/20 vision?
I thought the lenses in optics were ground to provide perfect vision.
Anyone know why this happens and what I should do?
Thanks.

Your scope simply needs to be refocused if you're not going to wear glasses. Loosen the lock ring then screw the ocular piece in or out until it's focused properly.

My scopes are the same way as yours. I always shoot with either glasses or contacts. If I were to try to shoot without them, I'd have to refocus my scopes.

I turned the focusing ring on my scope a bunch and it didn't help. I thought all that does is focus the reticle in the sight picture, not the picture.

YES IT FOCUSES THE RETICLE AS WELL AS ALL OF THE VIEW. DID YOU GET THE RETICLE IN FOCUS WITH YOUR GLASSES OFF? SOMETIMES IT TAKES QUITE A FEW TURNS. AND DID YOU REMEMBER TO LOOSEN THE RETAINING RING ON THE SCOPE SO IT CAN MOVE WHEN TWISTED?
MAYBE YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GETTING SOME BINOS THAT YOU CAN USE WITH GLASSES. I DON'T WANT TO TAKE TIME TO TAKE MY GLASSES OFF TO GLASS GAME, THEN PUT THEM BACK ON BEFORE I SHOOT.
YOU NEED BINOS WITH AT LEAST 19 MM OF EYE RELIEF. MOST OF THE HIGH END ONES SERVE BUT SOME OF THE CHEPAER ONES DO TOO.
THE MEOPTA MEOSTAR 8X42 HAVE 20 MM OF EYE RELIEF. THE PENTAX DCF WP HAVE 22MM. USUALLY THE GREATER THE MANIFICATION THE LESS THE EYE RELIEF. FOR THIS REASON I PREFER 8X BINOS. IF YOU GET GOOD ONES YOU CAN SEE WELL ENOUGH. EVEN HIGH MAGNIFICATION CHEAP BINOS ARE USELESS
GOOD LUCK

Brutal simply shoot with your glasses on, why would you glass with them and shoot without them, not trying to be a smart a$$. It just seems to me that fiddling with your glasses under hunting conditions is adding an extra element of difficulty.
