Default scope help? new rifle need help.

okay, so you may have noticed in some other forums ive been asking alot about the NEF handi rifle in .223.
well ive decided to buy one and make it my new project ( i cant wait)
i need a good scope to put on it but price is and issue. As a High School student buying a $230-250 rifle, ammo, scope mounts, hammer extender, etc etc... i odnt have the money for an expensive scope even though the scope is argubly the most important part of a gun.
-the shots would be anywhere from close to 50 yards to maybe 150 yard shots with a 200 yard shot thrown in there for fun every once in a while.
-im looking for under $100, like around 80 or less hopefully.
scopes ive looked at so far
-BSA Panther 3-10x40mm, FOV at 100yrds=29ft-$99.88
-BSA Contender 3-10x40mm, FOV at 100yrds=24ft-$69.88
-Bushnell Banner 3-9x40mm, FOV at 100yrds=40ft-$69.88
-Bushnell Banner 4-12x40AO, FOV at 100yrds=29ft-$79.88

yeah so any suggestions/ hlep would be widely appreiciated
(all above info taken from Bass Pro website)

Sorry, but the cheapest I would go is Simmons Aetec.

If you want a good scope for the money Nikon Prostaff has a 4-12x40 i believe its only like 149.00 and it is a really good scope. The banner isn't bad but the Nikon has better reveiws, it's all in what you like and can afford.

Budget is budget of those listed I'd go with the 3x9x40 banner. Skip the AO don't need it and on a low end scope more to go wrong.

I agree with Skeeter. If your able to come up with a little more $ I would look for a bit better scope, such as bushnell or something, but if not the banner should be ok.

I had a Bushnell Banner on my 30-30. It was hard to zero, didn't gather light real well, and wouldn't hold a zero. I've also purchased some guns and had binoculars given to me that were Bushnell and BSA. I've given them all away.

I wouldn't buy any of the scopes you've listed. Save your money a little longer and buy a decent one.

I've heard from a few people who actually own these scopes that they're really good, and seem to be a genuine steal. Maybe I'll try one out.

They're around a hundred dollars, right?

Too bad and real bad luck for you, as my banner has been steady like a rock in holding zero on several rifles. The Bushnell Elite I have has been awesome and has held up to anything my .300 win mag can dish out. Bushnell are very good scopes.
