I am starting to get into the IBO shoots and i was wandering if you have to become a IBO member to shoot in the IBO shoots and also could u just shoot in the World qualifier to get started.
We don't, we have the National Championship Triple Crown. And you have to be a member to shoot one of those or a State shoot, and you must be a member by the time you register for the IBO World Championship.

That`s funny, didn`t know you HAD TO BE A MEMBER just to shoot.Thought you had to be a member to be crowned a champion in any of the events.Let people shoot.
The membership requirement has been in the rule book andbeen a requirement for several years. For this year the board has added the "guest pass" that allows a member to bring a guest to a national or state championship event.
As a guest the pass is worded to allow them to participate in a non-competitive mannner. Who know's maybethey will have a good time and want to come back. ken12
The guest pass is for IBO State or National Tournaments only. Everyone must be a member to shoot the World Championship or the Trophy Round at the World.

Ken's post above (I am assuming he is already in AL) says the guest pass allows someone to shoot a non-competitve round. I read the rule and it does not say non-competitive. I am taking my son and another young fellow to Wetumpka and was wondering what the official "from Judy" ruling was. I did not know about the guest pass and had already mentioned that they would have to join. Just curious.
