I have heard this for several years now, and still no Pro Pin Class. Will it ever happen? How much is the entry fee? Do you remember the days of Sam Grove, Randy Deerfield, Dewey Exley, Mike Webb and so on!! Would they shoot it?
It's a pro class 250.00,why notoffer it to the shooters it might work out to be a big class. That might be the problem, it might be bigger then the open pro. I'd shoot it.

If there is that many interested one of you needs to start a petition at the shoots it could be left at the IBO booth and if that many sign present to board for fall meeting.
If the BOD wants to consider anything they should consider making a Pro division for Pro shooters that want to join and compete in any National Shoot. Their dues should be more than the regular membership and they should have a qualifing criteria that they must meet. Next they must have a dress code and a code of ethics that they must adhere to. Being a Pro with no Pro organization to be part of does not make a shooter a Pro. A Pro should be a person that has earned the title and has served a trial period to prove that they are worthy of the title. There are many people that can qualify for the Pro division but if all they have to do is buy the title and seemingly be endorsed by the IBO who is the winner. The IBO should and does stand out as an archery organization and an IBO Pro should earn the title and represent it with dignity and pride. IMHO
Start a new money class and call it just that in so many words.
I really don't understand this post. Membership is not based on who you are or what you do the majority of our members are not even 3d shooters. To shoot at that level you earn the title by the work and effort it takes to compete in that class because if you don't you are not around long enough for anyone to know you were there. The dress code for this class has never been an issue they are usually the better dressed group at the shoots and I have never known anyone pro or not who has not been proud to say they are the IBO world or national champion. I am not trying to be the voice of the pro class here but lets give credit where credit is do.
ej,
The post was intended strictly to express my opinion of what and how a person should get to become a PROFESSIONAL Archer. Making another class would be something that BOD would have to decide on. If you preface any class with Pro there should be more than an increase in the entry fee. That is strictly my opinion. I did not mean to put down any class or the Pros especially as they are the part of any organixzation that most people look up to and would like to join. The title Pro should mean more than a person that has paid an entry fee to get a larger return. The Pros that shoot competitive archery at the IBO shoots are outstanding people as I know them. I'm sure that some of them would like to see another class to compete in. Enough said. I hope that you understand that this is only one person talking who belonged to a Pro organization at one time that is now gone.
