Wow! Nice engine cardeer,I use to race a 69 chevelle on a dirt track here
untill it got to be too expensive for me.What year is your chevelle?

1968 A real SS 396 ,Matching numbers 24,000 original miles.396 is rebuilt and stored away ,that engine in the pic is a keith black big block that is in the chevelle.I did not want to mess up the original 396. I only drive it about 500 miles a year.

Well whats it run?

My best freind has a 68 Malibu Chevelle. I forgot what size motor he has, hes had several. Started with a 327, 383, 400, 406 and its a 454 bored out to something bigger. But I do know, he has run a 10.06 in the quarter. Hes rebuilding the front suspension, stock just wont launch it straight. The driver side comes about three or four inches and right sides comes off the ground about a foot. I tell him hes going to twist it like a pretzel. He runnes it up at Mason Dixon Dragway by Hagerstown Maryland. I drove it last summer......I still have the shakes!! (Its the feeling you get when you just been in a bad car wreck!)

Mike thats what mine runs in that area,really cranks your noodle when you loose traction at half track.Your gizzard drops out your behind HEE<HEE
