Alabama is #1 right now, but will they be able to stay there when Saban jumps to the NFL? Nickie is a good football coach, probably just as good as Joe Paterno, but Nickie's not going to grow old at Alabama.

That's a nice website, and a good looking store. Hey, they have a girl managing the Edmond store - cool.

We can easily picture him sitting home reading over job offers

If Saban jumps to the NFL again then he is not near as smart as we all (Bama fans) think he is ...if he stays at Alabama, runs a clean program and can beat Auburn and Tennessee on a regular basis then he will have a home for the next 20 years and $4.5 million a year aint bad cheese ...and I will admit that he has an ego so what better way to feed that ego then to leave a legacy at a school like Alabama ...I dont think that Nick will go back into the NFL ..he is a control freak and its hard to coach and control 25 year old young men who make 5 times more then you do as a coach .

Given his skills as a football coach, he could have had a lifetime tenure at any school he's worked. He's not going to beat Tennessee, Auburn, and Florida every year. And Alabama won't be #1 every year either. Bryant couldn't do it and Saban won't either. People here at Michigan State can't figure out what Saban is looking for, but it's sure that he isn't looking to be the next Joe Paterno.

DLG this is a Mars Venus kind of thing ...I never said he had to beat them every year nor did I say Bama would ever have to win another National Championship (although he will) ..what I said was beat them on a "regular" basis if he wants to stay ...and when you say "Bryant couldn't do it" I assume you were referring to (standing with hand over my heart) "Coach" Bryant ...in Alabama we use his name in revernce ....Coach Bryant is the greatest college football coach of all time without question so please show some due respect and call him Coach Bryant thank you ....as for the CSU Rams mascot being hot I agree it would look hot hagging over my fire place.

I'm not an expert on college football by any means. But I do know that "Bear" Bryant and JoePa are the two most respected and respectable guys to ever coach college football. I can't begin to see Saban in that group, ever. I wouldn't take any bets on how long he'll be at Alabama.

Better late than not going at all.
