Default 91 Ford explorer

This is my wife's rig. Well today I took it to les schwab to put it on the dinostics (sp)machine to see if my electonic brake sensors are bad. A friend an I just did the front brakes. I mean replaced everything. This has been my second major brake job in 20 months. About a hour later I get a call from them saying, who ever put your back brakes on put them on backwards. I guess the main shoe was on back, when it should have been on front. I paid 1200 dollars for a total brake job less than two years ago. I was mad as hell. The shop I took it to 20 months ago. Has done nothing but cause me money and grief. So I called them to tell them what I was told. They denied it all, then said bring it on down and will look @ it. I told them they were nuts if they thought I was bringing it down there. And I wouldn't let them look at my dog house let alone touch my rigs again. Everthing that shop has done I have had to get redone. BTW the shops name get this Total Performance. What a freakin joke. Les Schwab didn't charge me for the brake check. They said it was all visual and gave me a quoted price to fix what needed to be fix. A friend of mine said he'll do the brakes for a 5th of JD old #7. So hopfully this weekened my brakes will finally be right.

Just make sure you give your friend the fifth after he does the brakes...

I have always had decent luck with Les Schwab even though I think they rush through the job at times. But they will back their work with a warantee.

File a Better Business Bureau report against that other shop if you feel they are doing shoddy work. Or take them to small claims court if you have the time and energy.

If you Ever need the brakes and they work right it will make them seem pretty cheap .I had a friend that did his own to save money and paid the hard way. They failed when he needed them . Luck
