Classic rock, with Led Zeppelin being my favorite band of them all.

Black Sabbath,Alice In Chains,Zakk Wylde(B.L.S.),Pantera,Megadeth,Metallica,Seether,C hildren Of Bodom,Zepplin,Aerosmith(thetoxic twinsyears-later stuff sucks)--mostly metal/hard rock.Like some old school country
80's and 90's rock, and some of the new stuff. I like classical and jazz as well, and the standards. I love piano music. Don't care much for rap, I do have a Will Smith CD though, if you want to call that rap.
My car radio is on a classic rock station, but most of my CD's are stuff like Diana Krall and Tori Amos, stuff like that. I like music that is recorded well. I don't care how catchy the song is, if the recording is crappy I don't want to listen to it. I didn't buy a nice stereo and spend hours setting up the the speakers so I could listen to a CD that sounds like it was recorded from a record player with a cheap cassette player and a tape that has been recorded over 10 times.
I actually like to just sit in dark room and do nothing but listen to music, not have it on in the background while I'm doing something else.

And in my opinion MP3 players are a step backwards, sure they hold a lot of music but it doesn't sound as clean. Besides headphones never sound as good as a good system in a properly set up room. The just don't have the imaging and sound stage that a room does.

Yeah but try taking your stereo around with you! I agree a properly set up sound system sounds much better then an MP3 player but MP3 player has their place also.
