Default NPS eyeing Chesapeake Bay

National Park Service begins study of BayCapital News Service
WASHINGTON - The National Park Service is eyeing parts of the Chesapeake Bay for possible incorporation into its system of historic sites, parks, preserves and national seashores.

This is the same outfit that has closed pieces, parts and entire areas to access by various classes of outdoor sportsmen across the US.

Closer to home they tried to shut down access to the duck blinds at Piscataway Creek because “it didn’t fit with their model for Park uses” and a few people complained. They did this without any public notice and only through the efforts of some concerned sportsmen were we able to stop them (NPS) from basically denying access to MD property, not NPS property.

If any sportsmen can make the scheduled public meetings I strongly suggest you take the time to listen to the presentation and get copies of their proposals.

Default RE: NPS eyeing Chesapeake Bay

they (NPS) are still responding to regulations and programs that were put in place in the closing hours of the previous President. it takes time to stop, roll-back or overturn these once the public finds out and complains about them to their Congresscitter.

hunters are just now becoming active in the game and we are learning as we go, although it is at an accelerated pace just to protect what we still have.

i am fortunate that they have one of their workshops within 5 minutes of my home, so i will definitely be in attendance.
