Hey yall my season is over. decided to hunt behind the house this mornin. After hearing afew distant gobbles i located some birds on the far side of an alfalfa feild. After putting up some decoys. i set myself in the fence row and started my magic. Within minute i had 2 gobblers going. The bigger of the 2 started struting my way. He got within 10 feet of the decoys when i dropped him. 19 pounds 5 1/2 inch beard. Spurs are close to an inch. I will post pics later today. It was a rush. after i shot another gobbler ran right by me.There was also 3 hens along. The open invite still stands..
Thanks to bearklr for pic. I have proven to myself that many hours of scouting does pay off. I didnt know much about turkey hunting before the last few years. I have learned so much. Right now i bet i cant tell ya were a bird could be taken tom. morning. I think i got alittle crazy with the scouting.....
