Saturday is like Christmas, opening day of buck season, first day of trout all rolled into one. Man, I wish I could turkey hunt every day...

I am always crowded by other hunters on the first day this weekend I think i'll drive out to illinios to scout out good stand sites for next fall. I drew a permit for 7 days on 16,000 acres of puplic land. Goodluck I,'ll start monday

i cant wait.. i am so ready to go.. im taking the first week off work so i like my chances.. i dont know about the 1st day though. ive been seeing a lot more hunters out scouting this year more than others. so looks like ill have some company.. but i see the weather is to be rain so maybe that might keep some hunters in bed... but ill be out.. i wish everyone good luck and please be safe..

Got my new custom back brace today. Since i dont work it will help me get out everyday. My chance look good but i am not all gong-ho . i have all the time to get one . so i will be taking my time. I have spent the last several weeks scouting . I have put in about 4 hours a day on average trying to improve my chance . We will see.

I'll be out this year.The populations are down due to wet cold springs and hard winters so I expect there to be less birds but it only takes one.
