saw 2 bear today

on my home from work today i saw a mom and her cub in the middle of a PSU ag. farm field. and my friend said the turkeys were gobbling hard this morning. so i think spring is here... thank god..

well im not an expert w/ bear but it looked like it would have been last years. it looked to be id say 50lbs ... does that sound right?

I'm no bear expert either but this years bear would be very tiny. 50 lbs sounds within reason for last years cub just out of hibernation and way too big for a bear born in February.

No matter what it's still neat to see one aint it?

Yes Its very neat to see aBlack bear in the wild, even better seeing a mom with her cubs, with all thee NY state hunting changes, I think I'll do more Bear hunting this year in Region 6 I live in region 8 & not legal to take bear in my region.....would love to take a bruin with my bow, I'll have fun trying......

Its pretty cool that the bear are out now to. I guess it wont belong for nice weather. Hopefully it will soon stop raining every weekend.

I had two encounters last season with a mother bear and her two cubs. Hopefully I will get a chance to take a shot this year.

I don't know if it's good that the turkeys are gobbling already. By the time spring gobbler opens, all the toms will be "henned up".
