Default Moderator purpose?

I thought the job of moderators is to keep the posts clean and on topic, and not censor because they don't agree with the post. AJ52, please reply or send me an e-mail (mine's not hidden) as to why my post "was off-topic" when the poster claims his results are due to QDM? I did not attack bullmoose personaly in any way. Are you now allowing only posts that you agree with?

Default RE: Moderator purpose?

Many of us, myself included, been deleted here some too lately and didnt like it at the time but I think that, overall, the quality of this section of the boards has improved dramatically. That thread was already under attack by another poster who just cant let any thread alone without starting a Pa deer management arguement. IMHO the thread was about the success that a small group is having in a small area and not about statewide management.

The mods have a thankless job here but I'm personally glad that someone is trying to keep this board a bit more civil.

I know this may get locked or deleted but maybe if we all work at it we can prevent the deletions by taking a minute to stop and think before we post.

Best bet if you want a reply is to pm one of the mods. They'll look into it for you and you'll get a much better response then by airing your gripe in an open post.

Rule 5.
Quote:
5)No discussion or challenge to our editing policy are allowed within the forums. If you disagree, or want clarification as to why a particular topic, post or individual was removed, you must email editor@hunting.net. HuntingNet.Com moderators, administrators and staff will NOT respond to any inquiries or challenges of these rules or decisions on the public forum. However, we will respond to email inquiries.
Or just click on the "report abuse" at the bottom of each post to contact them.

Good luck

READ THE RULES. If you have a beef...ask them privately.

Default RE: Moderator purpose?

That was the problem........until just 2 days ago AJ52 had blocked pm's and hid his email address.......I finally got a reply from him and he is now accepting pm's.
