Charlie - thats great, but the fight has just begun. Similar bill passed the senate last year only to be shot down by the assembly. Seems we have some downstate assemblymen/women who can't believe we wish to introduce children to weapons. They don't bother to see that of the states that have a minimum age, NY has one of the oldest age limits. I hope they listen this year.
That's certainly a step in the right direction. I hope for all the youth of NY that this passes. Getting kids involved early is the key to expanding our sport.
