Default MD spring turkey

I'm going to a meeting in silver Spring, MD next month (Apr 17-23). Is there any good places I might be able to squeeze in a day's worth of spring turkey? (will also post this on South board for VA)

Best chance seeing you need written permission is to hunt on public land. In Montgomery Co there's McKee-Beshers WMA out in Poolesville/North Potomac is the closest I know of to Silver Spring. I hear people (or at leasat one) crying about hunting public land and how awful it is because turkeys don't come running in[] The turkeys are there and all you need is the ability to call and hunt them!

There are a lot of turkeys in Montgomery County, but it's illegal to hunt them! (I can say that, because my in-laws live in Silver Spring).

Silver Spring might be and should be illegal as it's all concrete/commercial and residental but it is not entirly illegal in all Montgomery County as I myself deer hunt Montgomery Co.

I was referring to the people there as "turkeys". It was only a joke.
