Didn't know that!

Where'd you find this out Germain?

As far as I'm concerned this is the way it ought to be, I'm just amazed that federal funds actually are required to be used for the taxpayers who generated them.

Yep, the Feds spelled this out in a letter to the PGC when the mtn bike/horse riding debate was going on. Copy floating around the internet somewhere.

I found it BT but I have to tell ya when it comes to computers I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.I'll be dog-gonned if I didn't try to cut and paste the article but every time I clicked paste the reply screen went south.
Anyway you can find it www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/veiw.asp

Or you might find it in the PGC site under release #007-1.
The info you want is toward the middle of the long article.

It would be interesting to find out what public land is funded by the Pittman-Robertson Act. There must be a list somewhere or maybe a report outlining where states are using this money.

Thanks for the interesting info...

Very interesting read. I had no idea that states could loose funding under Pitman-Robertson if the land wasn't managed for wildlife. Since the land is paid for with sportsmans dollars I have to agree that the lands should be set aside and protected for wildlife.

Maybe they should tax bikers and horse owners so they can procure lands of their own. Do you think the mountain bikers and horse owners would support such measures?
