Default 3 Solutions for PA gloom and doom deer hunters.

Pa deer hunters. Its funny how there is so much negativity for everything PGC and other groups are trying to accomplish in PA. They are damned if they do or damned if they dont! I have 3 solutions if you dont like Pa hunting.
1------Get a organized group together to do something about it and not the USPDC. Saw that organization at the Sportsman show in Harrisburg. I dont want any part of them!
2------You can hunt another state.
3------Last but not least. NOBODY MAKES YOU HUNT IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT DO IT!!!

You forgot number 4 bullmoose.

4-continue to persue the pastime you enjoy but at the same time try to improve the deer management issue.

Hunters said no to the foolish flor orange proposed regs and it didn't pass.I didn't hear anybody calling this group whiners. There are some problems in deer management and some people would like them addressed. If they didn't care about hunting they would simply quit.
And watch what ya wish for because the more hunters we lose the less numbers that lets us to fight the antis with.
Speaking of which, two large anti hunting orgs just combined forces.

Anybody that suggests hunters should quit if they disagree with the deer management plan. IMHO is an anti-hunter.

germain you made some good points. You stated how 2 large ati hunting orgs combined forces. As much as I hate to say. Both those groups combined to form 1 team to fight what they believe. Thats good team work. Thats what us hunters got to do also. We got to start working together with the PGC, DCNR, and other groups and form one team. The more numbers we have on our team the better chances of winning. Even if it means some sacrifices it what we believe.

You have got to be kidding . You want us to work with the PGC that wants to reduce the herd statewide to 12 DPSM and DCNr that wants to reduce the herd to 8-10 DPSM and the Habitat Alliance that that wants to base the OWDD on the number of trilliums/SM.

What sportsman organization do you suggest we support ?

Well you are not gonna win this battle by yourself. I thinkI proved my point now. The majority of Pa hunters are definitely greedy. Dont want to work with anybody. All they think about are themselves. Its all about what they want to see. Who cares if there are scientific ways to fix things. We want it done are way. And so on.......[&:]

Please provide the facts that show WMU 5 C can only support 6 DPSM and 5B can only support 5 DPSM. Those two WMU's have some of the best habitat in the state and have the highest recruitment rates for any of the WMU's in the state even though both WMU's were triple there OWDD goal in 2003.

Then explain why the herd in 2 G has been reduced to 3 DPSM below its OWDD gaol of 15 DPSM. if you can do that you can resume your lecture to the uninformed.

Where do you come up with these stats of what the current dpsm is? I have not read all of your threads, however have seen you rattle all sorts of numbers off and I am curious to know your source of this information. I am assuming the goal numbers are from the whitepapers that were released, which I also cannot source, can you provide links to that too?
