Default Hog hunting

Where are some good places to go hog hunting? I dont want it to be like shooting fish in a barrel but i definitly wanna bring meat back. I was hoping that i wouldnt have to go any further than North Carolina. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks.

whats up with that place in Tioga PA? i've been kicking the idea around but, like you, don't want to see any fences or "pick one out we'll release it in the pen for you".... i understand it must be fenced but is it big enough to be actually hunting or just shooting?

anyone?

thanks,

moose

fats,
checked into alot of these places recently, (Bigcountry and i are going in 3 weeks!!!!) I talked to the guy in PA, he said hes only got about 50 acres?? I dunno that seems a little like fish in a barrel. The one we settled on is in Tenn, I can let you know how it turns out, apparently they have a good amount of land, but yes its still all fenced in. I agree with you 100% I dont want to walk up on 6 hogs gathered around a fence with nowhere to go and pick one out and shoot it. We have several different options when we go, we can treestand hunt, stalk, or bay with dogs. I will try the stalking thing for my first day, if that doesnt work I guess I will try the dogs.
