Where was the Unified Sportsman of Pa. when this years seasons and bag limits were discussed? I wouldn't waste my time with this group or the UBH. Another politician to calm the savage beasts. They both sit there like a bump on a log with little or no input or challenges. Just keep sending your money in for dues so they don't miss any of the parties. Another NRA[:@]

Jim Slinsky-This guy never has anything good to say about anybody. This guy won't be happy until anarchy rules. He makes hunters look like idiots!
He is long on wind short of answers, anybody can do that?

Unified has been singing the same old song for so long that no one really pays them any attention anymore. They have been predicting the end of the deer herd as being imminent for over twenty years now.

I'm generally for AR and HR but am concerned about the extent of herd reduction especially in 2G but no matter what side you are on, Unified is not the orgnization to represent anyone who wants to be taken seriously.

If anyone is in doubt of PA hunters tarnishing their conservation image. Do a search Lookng for New castle News paper. Title Recent Controversy Is Tarnishing Hunters image As Conservationists" That ran on 2/26/05 by Ralph Martone. We should all be concerned. Unified sportsmen is a group helping to tarnish our image.

Unified was the only group that spoke up against the PGC & DCNR when they started this deer slaughter they were right.

lost horn, I also spoke up with the same results as the Unified Sportsman and I'm not backed by membership fees. They attend the meetings but with no backbone to challenge the PGC.

Unified Sportsman are a bunch of blow hard " know it alls" that know absolutely nothing! You tarnish our sport at every turn! You make the hunter look like dumb fools! You cannot argue with science but yet you do. I agree with the way our state is handling the the deer situation because it is based on sound logic and science. Sure there are some wrinkles to be worked out and some micro managing to be done in some of the counties where there has been over kill. But these guys and their blatant illogical tirades and their claim to represent "all" hunters is WAY out of control. You don't represent this hunter, and you never will.

Exactly, math is a science. Too many deer, not enough "proper" habitat to support the deer. You have two options here! Either create more habitat to support the current deer population. ie. clearcutting, selective cutting, etc. Tree huggers won't like that! Us Grouse hunters would love it! Or thin the heard the way they currently are doing. Listen, Im not saying that the PGC has done a thorough job, but let them fine tune the process. Micro manage those areas that have been hit hard. Let the infrared studies take place. Have Unified and the other lunitic fringe groups put their money towards the science and studies to try and figure out a solution. Instead of threatening lawsuits. Would'nt the money be better spent that way, in finding a solution rather than running there mouths and shooting down everything put to them. and threatening lawsuits.
