Default I've seen it all now

Watching this outddor show on the outdoor channel today and I couldn't believe it. These to hunters were walking to there hunting blind and it was a log cabin up on stilts. It had to be at least 12'x12' and had a spiral stair case leading up to the cabin I can see a decent 6'x6' or even a 8'x8' shooting blind but this was a litte ridiculious(spelling). I think people that hunt like that have really lost touch with hunting

Gotta love them guys. I have seen a few hunting blinds (houses) that were just over done. Sliding glass windows, fully carpeted floors and walls, wrap around shooting counter, heaters, leather computer chairs, ect.... I don't see where the fun is when you aren't even outside anymore. Give me a good treestand and I am happy!

i used to hunt in the poconos, pa. i remember an old dried up cranberry bog and there was a house built on scaffolding. They used to park their trucks right next to it. No walking here. there would be a bunch of guys hunting in there. i don't know maybe they took turns shooting. just climb up and shoot out the windows. they also had smaller blinds built on scaffolding around the bog. they all had windows and 55gal drums made into woodburning heaters. they had smoke stacks and all in a 6x 8 or so blind.

Yeah I think I saw the same one, it was Micheal Waddell and his girlfriend and his son, they were hunting in Texas I believe, over a food plot. They had carpet and sliding windows and stuff. But I guess if you have that set up available to ya and you want to take members of your family along, I guess you want them to enjoy their experience. Ill take a nice comfortable climber though. (padded of course)

Can we get any lazier??

We drive in huge Exxon Valdez pickups to our hunting spot. We unload huge honkin' ATV's and go ripping into our stand which overlooks a giant food plot or bait site. The stand is closed in with heat, radio and lounge chairs. Then we shoot one, drive over to it on the quad, load him up and go act like brassy All-American Whitetail Super Extreme Mega Hunters.

Then in the off-season, all we do is complain about the neighbors shooting all the small ones and does.

I just don't understand why or how people condone this behavior. Where is the tradition? Where is the commitment? Has it really come to this?

Just geting my 1 year old started hunting so nevt year she can shoot one. O yaa my pet ape killed a real nice one to [:-]
