I've never hunted White Lake but I have hunted Zone 5. I used to hunt near Allamuchy and another piece near Independence. This was a few years ago but the deer hunting was pretty darn good there back then. I don't know about now. Rabbit hunting was awesome too! Thats about all I know about zone 5!

I hunt White Lake when it first opened in 1998. I shot a doe during the permit season. I have since gotten private property to hunt, but I still know people that hunt the area. When the area first opened it was very heavily hunted. However, the buddy I know still gets 1 or 2 a year out of White Lake. They are there, however, I have only seen them while walking. White Lake isn't that big and is surrounded by private property. Good Luck.

Whittingham is bad either, however the last time I hunted there someone shot at me. I shot at a deer in at the bottom of a ravine and some moron shot over my head and starting yelling at me. My buddy saw him and he wasn't wearing orange, about 30 feet in a tree stand, and on top of a ravine 3 over. Sad thing is, I hit the deer, but was afraid to track it. A lot of deer though.
