Default good season?

I archery & gun hunt in western ny. I didn't get a deer this year. I didn't even see a buck besides a mature 1 after gun season started. I saw 2 mature doe & missed 1. Whose to blame nys, dec, other hunters, mother nature or me? No 1 really. Thats why they call it huntin not killin. If I had to pick 1 it would be me. I choose when where & how I hunt.
Was it a good year yes just like the 30 plus before & all I'll have after.

What happen to that mature buck? The last day of muzzle he walked 30 yards from my stand. While I was 120 yards away hunting a BETTER spot?

HUNTIN U GOTTA LOVE IT!!

Default RE: good season?

Starting with bow season, I saw maybe a dozen does and 1 spike buck, all hunting season. I missed one doe in early ML and shot one doe in rifle. So, a good season? Yes, I took a deer, but deer sightings are way down and have been for last 2 years around here. I have no desire to drive 100 miles to see more deer. Here, there are acorns on the ground everywhere. I hate HR and don't give a fig about AR. Where are all the big bucks??? Not around here. I am waiting to see what the PGC comes up with for next season before making any plans.

Hunting?, if it's a nice day, maybe I'll play golf instead!

I had a good season. I took 2 does in archery. 1 in 2D and 1 in 2B. And one doe in 2B with shotgun. I have seen more mature buck around this year than ever before. I've also seen more 1.5 yr old fours and sixes that get me excited for next year. Our butcher did some incredible bucks this year and his doe numbers were about the same.

Had a good season. Havent killed a buck yet but passed 5 AR legal but immature bucks. They all ought to be dandies next year. Killed two does in 2D with the muzzy and 2 in 2B with the bow. Need to kill 1 or 2 more in my 2B area to keep some balance

Best part of my season: My 12 year old got his first, a doe and my 15 year old took a muzzy doe.

All our 2D deer came from public land where deer density is still too high. We hunted almost a mile back in and saw almost no one but our group. Saw lots of deer though.

I had a great season. started out in early ML in PA and shot a doe the first day.I took my daughter on her first ML hunt the 3rd day and she gets a doe.The last day of early ML I shoot another doe .
The first day of NY gun season I take my niece. We see 3 does at 7:00am one is a piebald but she can't get on him. At 8:00am a buck comes in and she is able to shoot him . Her first buck a nice 7 point.
The 3rd day of Pa regular season I have to work until 3:00pm. I get home and tell my wife i am goin to set in my tripod until dark.I get in the tripod, load the gun ,click the safety on and look down the edge of the field and there is a buck looking straight at me about 80 yds away. I aim the 260 right at the bottom of the white spot on his neck and shoot. He drops on the spot. It's my biggest buck ever. A basic 10 point with an additional 3 small sticker points. He has a 16 inch spread .
On top of all this when I told my son I was getting my buck mounted he said he was paying for it because I got his first buck mounted.
I don't beleive I will ever be able to beat this season

My season was pretty good. Took 4 deer total, 3 in archery, a 9pt, a 2D doe, and a 2B doe. Then in gun season I took my 1st doe with a revolver. I still have 2 more 2B tags left but have been struggling trying to fill those.
