Late rut should be done by now. I would not use any doe in heat lure as it may send the does running. Sought of like the spouse after 2 or 3 days of being pestered they may not come around.

One week ago I came home from church to find my buck deer target destroyed in my back yard. Something hit it hard making a deep gouge behind the front legs, scrape marks on the head and neck, and scattering parts in the vacinity. So is the rut done? I don't know about that.

Just saw a buck chasing a doe accross the road and try to mount her in a guys front yard at 11pm last night. could this crazy warm weather have pushed the rut back this much? Could explain the lowsy season this year in the north east.

Ther are undoubtedly still some does out there that are coming into estrous but I would not recommend using sex scents now. It is likely to do more harm than good. SELECTIVE use of calls could be ok BUT USE THEM SPARINGLY!!

Good luck! Bag that buck!
