looking for public hunting land in maine HELP

looking for land to hunt on in maine around the katahdin area. any help would be awesome. or if you have land and want to trade hunting experiences and come down to va and hunt bruiser farm bucks we can arrange that too.

Baxter State Park. Also all of the major paper companies have land in Northern ME that is usually open to the public.

can you hunt baxter state park? cause my family owns the big moose in at the foot of mt katahdin and i wasnt aware you could hunt there.

You can hunt a small portion of Baxter.

My advise, take a map and a pen and draw a line around the boundaries of the park. Everything inside those lines don't hunt everything outside is public. Baxter is surrounded by 3 miillion acres of North Maine Woods that is open to the general public.

What type of hunting do you do VA?

I've got a camp in Hancock Co. It's surrounded but millions of acres of paper company land. Due to the frequency of cutting it can be difficult to hunt but there are some absolute brutes around. If you're planning on cumming up next fall maybe we could get together. My camp is more of a shack but the country around it is prime whitetail habitat.

i mainly hunt whitetail and bear but i really want to take another maine bear and whitetail. my family is from millinocket and most of them still live there. we have a house on ambejesus lake but it will be all closed up for the winter by the time hunting season rolls around since my parents stay there for the summers. we bag some monsters here but im always looking for a change of scene. our bears dont get too big though but our deer can get freakin huge. shoot me your contact info in email and we can hook up.

Your family is from Millinocket and you don't have a place to hunt? Millions of acres of paper company land for you to explore.

IF IT is not posted you can hunt it. That is a great thing in Maine/ NH / VT but it probly wont last much loger IM FROM NH
