your back tag, thats all. Except in regular rifle deer season when you must also have a valid unused deer tag.

I am sure if you look in the PA hunting guide, you will find 378 scenarios depending on the weapon used, season, location in the state and orange requirement.

I'm unsure whether you need a valid unused deer tag for rifle season only or if the same applies to muzzleloader and archery... Food for thought

T_in_PA2 has it right, don"™t tag it. You only need a valid hunting license and there are some restrictions depending on what else might be in season at the time. In the PA hunting guide look under the Furbearer section.
