Non-resident NJ hunting license is $135.00. That's just for the licesnse, permits are extra of course. There are a lot of deer in NJ, so I would say it's worth it.
Be aware...that is $135 for a firearm license and $135 for a bow license. Doe permits and muzzleloader permits are $28 each...but you are able to take 2 does per day. I think it's worth it.

You also have to buy a permit for each zone .....there are over 60 that cover the whole state, $28 a pop. 6 day firearm is free and after that $28 for permit shotgun & $28 for permit ML. So to hunt all ML & all permit shotgun in one zone it would $219.

all zones Have different regs as well , where I am I can take unlimited antlerless deer during permit shotgun & ML. Up north for instance the have earn a buck , where you have to take a doe first.
