Default My dad's 2004 PA buck

My fathers 2004 PA buck shot on opening day at 7:10am. I saw this buck at 7:05 but did not have a clean shot as it stopped in the brush. It ran past me ran in the woods it saw another hunter that was screwing me up anyways and ran up to my father. He shot it in the brush but had a clean shoulder shot it ran 10yds and stopped so he shot it again it than ran in the brush behind him and fell. He started walking up to it and it was standing there a mere 5yds from him looking the oppisite way staggering so he shot it again that time it died. All 3 shots were heart lung shots 2 of the shots breaking both shoulders. I always knew big bucks died hard but wow i never thought that hard. I didnt think it would take 3 30-06 slugs in vitals. Tough deer. The deer was aged at 5.5yrs old by the taxidermist and suffered some kind of genetic deformity on its one side. The one side has 4 beautiful points. It has a 10.5 inch tine and a 8.5 incher. It also had a 4 inch brow. The other side had a 8 inch spike that forked at the top and had a broken point it was weird. The buck dressed at 208 which is a huge deer. Just thought i'd share...

deerslayer,

Where was that deer shot? It looks identical to a buck I saw here in Indiana County in the late fall! He walked out in front of me one night and had the same style of rack, a big 4 point side, then a big split spike!
